Mitchell is a 2003 graduate of Indian Valley High School in Gnadenhutten, Ohio. He completed undergraduate studies at Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio before receiving his Bachelor of Mortuary Science degree in 2007 from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Mitchell has worked and mastered his skills at funeral homes in Cincinnati, Loudonville, and Martins Ferry, Ohio, as well as through lifelong experience at his family's funeral home in Freeport, Ohio. Mitchell has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer for 10 years.
Mitchell and his wife Shannone have three children, Cooper, Piper, and Harper, and reside in Gnadenhutten. In their spare time, they enjoy being involved with local activities and athletics, spending time with family, camping, and traveling.
