I have fond memories of Aunt Betty. We would travel every summer to Minnesota to visit my grandparents on my moms side then over to gnadenhutten to visit my grandma ( dads side) and Aunt Betty and Uncle Ralph. I loved going to visit them, aunt Betty always welcomed me with open arms. Aunt Betty bought me my first apron in downtown Gandenhutten, it's probably grown a bit since I was last there. I loved their garden and visiting the cellar where she kept jars and jars of canned Vegis and fruit. Back in the day when we needed to use the restroom we would head to the basement where a toilet was just out in the open, but let's not forget the shower in the middle of the room ! I remember her salt and pepper collection..... Watching soap operas while she ironed..... Making pies look so easy..... I love you Aunt Betty - one glorious day we will all be together again,,,,

Grandma Betty - I will never forget you; you will live on in my wonderful memories. I will keep making your delicious rolls, pies and canning recipes, and will pass them down to my children so a part of you will always be at our table. Thank you for making my life so full and rich, and never hesitating to tell me "I love you." May God welcome you with open arms.
