          Betty Jane Moore, 91, of Gnadenhutten, died on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 in Bowerston Hills Nursing and Rehab, Bowerston, Ohio. She was born in New Straitsville, Ohio on April 5, 1924, to the late Charles and Daisy (Morrison) Stephenson. Betty graduated in 1942 from Gnadenhutten High School. She married the late Ralph J. Moore (dec. Aug. 30, 1993) on August 17, 1942, in New Philadelphia. Betty was a member of the John Heckewelder Memorial Moravian Church and was involved with the Twin City Hospital Coffee Bar. Betty loved visiting with friends and neighbors, watching her favorite soap operas, and she was an avid reader. Betty also traveled far and wide to visit and support her family. She went to Germany to see her son, Steve, while he was in the army, and traveled to Australia for her granddaughters wedding.

          Betty is survived by two sons: David (Teresa) Moore, of Dennison; and Stephen “Doe” (Cheryl) Moore, of Gnadenhutten; five grandchildren: Karey Kibler (Bill) Fisher, Stephen (Sheri) Kibler, Andrew (Beccah) Kibler, Darcie Moore (husband Sean Rinehart); and Kendra Moore; two step-grandchildren: Eric Pancher and James Cox; six great-grandchildren: Sarah and Sonia Clemens, Sage and Soren Rinehart, and Nolan and Andersen Kibler; two step-great-grandchildren: Breelynn and Jaceden Cox; and several nieces and nephews.

          Along with her parents and husband, Betty is preceded in death by: a son, Gary Duane Moore; a daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Kenneth Kibler; and Betty’s six older brothers and sisters, with Betty being the youngest.

            Services for Betty will be held, at 11:00 AM on June 1, 2015 at the John Heckewelder Memorial Moravian Church, 133 S. Walnut St., Gnadenhutten, with Rev. Darrell Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at the Gnadenhutten-Clay Union Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2015 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, also held at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the John Heckewelder Memorial Moravian Church.
