Obituary

Patricia Ann Cox of Gnadenhutten, Ohio passed away peacefully at the age of 83 on August 17, 2023 surrounded by her loving husband and family.

Born September 13, 1939 in Uhrichsville, Ohio, Patricia was the daughter of the late Clyde Long and Catherine (Foote) Long. She was a 1957 graduate of Uhrichsville High School. Shortly after, she met her husband Dave at the local skating rink. After dating only 3 months, they married the day he turned eighteen on May 27th, 1958. They had 65 wonderful years together and resided on their beautiful homestead in Gnadenhutten, Ohio.

Patricia was the perfect companion to Dave, serving him as both a homemaker and as a business partner. Some of the things she enjoyed most were decorating their home through the various seasons, planting her flower gardens, raising and riding horses, dancing, watching her favorite Old Western TV shows and spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren. Her fondest memories were when the family was home to visit for the holidays, having all of the grandkids over for pool parties, and traveling with Dave on various adventures in their motor coach. Patricia also attended the Uhrichsville Christian Church.

Patricia is survived by her husband, David D. Cox; son, David Cox and his wife Shay of Gnadenhutten, Ohio; son, Jeff Cox and his fiancée Sheila of New Philadelphia, Ohio; daughter, Mindi Sanders and her husband Richard of Gnadenhutten, Ohio; son, Mark Cox and his wife Anne of Alexandria, Ohio.
