John J. Hindman, 60, of Tuscarawas passed away peacefully with loving family by his side in the Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital on Friday morning February 19, 2021.
John was born in Beaver Falls, PA on July 4, 1960 to the late Robert and Betty (Saylor) Hindman. He attended the Rush School and Claymont before moving to Florida and graduating from Hernando High School. After high school, John started working for Tusco Display in Gnadenhutten and worked there as an electrical maintenance technician for forty two years. John enjoyed fishing and restoring motorcycles, four wheelers, and dirt bikes to like new condition. He liked to watch the Indians, Browns, and the Buckeyes and was an avid member of the V.F.W. Post 7943 in Tuscarawas. John also loved to spend time with his family and friends.
Surviving are John’s wife of fourteen years, Lisa (Seevers) Hindman, whom he married on May 19, 2006. Also surviving are two step-children: Nikkia (Duane) Chupp of Carrolton, and Dusty (Melissa) Durben of Newcomerstown; seven grandchildren: Kayla, Isabell, Rachel, Jalissa, Mason, Paisley, and Skylar; four siblings: Richard (companion Tina) Hindman of Gnaden, Roger (Cathy) Hindman of Gnaden, Lewie (Sandy) Hindman of Peoli, and Caren (Ken) McCauley of New Philadelphia; a sister-in-law Mrs. Robert (Sharon) Hindman of Alaska, and several nieces and nephews, and had a special bond with Ray and Roy.
Along with his parents, John was preceded in death by a brother Robert Hindman.
Calling hours for John will be held on Monday, February 22, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Koch Funeral Home, LLC of Gnadenhutten, 244 North Walnut Street. In lieu of flowers, cards and/or donations may be sent to Lisa and the family at PO Box 775, Gnadenhutten, Ohio 44629.
