Jerre A. Dunkel, 68, of Gnadenhutten died at home in Tents of Grace Manor in Gnadenhutten on October 7, 2021.
Jerre was born December 10, 1952, in Bellevue, Ohio to the late Warren F. and Margaret M. (Klein) Dunkel. He graduated from Norwalk High School in 1971, and then attended college at Bowling Green State Universities Firelands Campus in Huron, Ohio. He enjoyed playing the violin and singing in his younger years.
Surviving are two sisters: Jean A. Dunkel of Sandusky, and JoEllen (Jim) Haney of Gnadenhutten; a brother-in-law John Ford of Newark, and two nieces.
Along with his parents, Jerre was preceded in death by two sisters: Judith A. Ford and Jane Alice Dunkel.
Cremation with no public services will take place and Jerre’s remains will be buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Bucyrus on a later date.
