Harry Leonard Biss, 73, of Uhrichsville, died Monday morning on November 7, 2022, in Amberwood Manor under the care of Community Hospice.
Harry was born at Twin City Hospital in Dennison, Ohio to the late Elmer L. Biss and the late Gloria (Willison) Huprich. Following school, Harry served in the U.S. Army. Once his service was over, he became a truck driver for forty-one years. During that time, he worked for various companies and owned his own trucks, mainly hauling bucket, and various other manufacturing materials. He liked going fishing and hunting, watching NASCAR, and enjoying a good drink and cigarette while chasing the ladies.
Surviving are Harry’s four children: Shannon (Cheri) Biss, Jayme (companion Mike Buckmaster) Kohl, both of Coshocton, Amy (JJ) Stout of Newcomerstown, and Jodi (Mike) Miller of Gnadenhutten; eleven grandchildren: Hawk Biss, Michael Kohl, Kylie Hogg, Kiersten Kohl, James D. Ault, Hunter McMullen, Cheyenne Pully, Renee Page, Austin Smith, Courtney Miller, and Brynn Miller; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters: Gloria “Cookie” Walters of Columbus and Glenda Biss of Cambridge; and two nephews.
In addition to his parents, Harry is preceded in death by a nephew.
A private family time was held at Koch Funeral Home of Gnadenhutten and cremation followed.
