Obituary

Gerald “Gary” Brown, 71, of New Philadelphia, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, following an extended illness. 

​Gary was born in Coshocton on February 17, 1952, to the late Harry E. and Iris W. (Miller) Brown. He was a heavy equipment operator for most of his life, working for various companies running excavators and dump trucks. Gary enjoyed going to flea markets and yard sales, talking on his cb radio and fishing. He was a member of the Army Navy and the Moose. 

​Surviving are three daughters: Leslie (Charles) Postel of Dover, Christina Brown and Sarah (Keith) Gamble both of New Philadelphia; grandchildren: Autumn, Matthew, Ava, Marcus, Dominic, Oceania, Ruby, Charles, Michael, and Maverick; a great-grandson Jackson; and four siblings: David Brown, Tom Brown, Kay (Dan) Harmon, and Mary (Dan) Chitti. 

​Along with his parents, Gary is preceded by an infant daughter April, and three siblings: Charley, Dixie, and Francis Brown. 

​Calling hours will be held for Gary at Koch Funeral Home of Gnadenhutten, 244 N. Walnut Street, 44629 on Sunday, April 23, 2023 from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.
