Deloris Mae (Preston) McGlothlin

         Deloris Mae (Preston) McGlothlin, 92, of Uhrichsville died peacefully at her home on Friday, February 23, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born on December 5, 1931, to the late Chales H. and Emma L. (Franklin) Preston. Deloris grew up in the Uhrichsville and Gnadenhutten area. She graduated from Uhrichsville High School in 1949, then went to work for Alsco in Gnadenhutten for a short time, before going to work as a cook for nursing homes, including the Country Club Retirement Campus, from where she retired in 2003 at seventy-two years old. Deloris loved her family and took pride in being a homemaker. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and making homemade candies that she would give for Christmas gifts.

         On September 15, 1951, Deloris married the late Euell Ray McGlothlin Sr., who preceded her in death on January 3, 1984. Also preceding are son-in-law Danny Combs, granddaughter Diana (McGlothlin) Hileman, brothers: Dean Preston, Bob Preston, and Chuck Preston; sister Helen DeLong, and sisters-in-law: Joyce Preston, and Irene Preston.

         Deloris is survived by her three children: Euell Ray (Carolyn) McGlothlin Jr, Betty Jayne McLaughlin, and Mary Ellen Combs; grandchildren: Jim McGlothlin, Nathan Morrison, and Benjamin Morrison; many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, brothers: George (Dottie) Preston, and Jim (Peg) Preston; sister-in-law Lucille Preston,  a special niece Jan Hershberger, and many more nieces and nephews.
