"Together Again"
Ray D. Milburn, 72, of rural Uhrichsville, formerly of Lock Seventeen, died peacefully Thursday evening of October 1, 2026, in Ohio’s Hospice Truman House.
Born in Dennison on March 15, 1954, Ray was one of eight children born to the late Charles and Dorothy (Kohler) Milburn.
When Ray reached the age of eighteen, he started his life with Diana Rae Vance, whom he married on December 9, 1972. The next fifty years were spent together, hosting karaoke parties, playing the slots, going to bingo, decorating for the holidays, with a Christmas tree in every room and outside, spending the holidays with friends and family, and even working at the same place together. They both retired from Provia after more than thirty years there. They were just two months shy of their 50th anniversary when Diana passed away on October 2, 2022.
Surviving are Ray’s three brothers: Charles (Debora) Milburn, Randy (Darlene) Milburn, both of Uhrichsville, and Daniel (Barbara) Milburn of Wainwright; three sisters: Candy (Wayne) Howell of Tuscarawas, Diane (Rick) Sentz of Uhrichsville, and Shirley (Paul) Creighton of Tippecanoe, two brothers-in-law: Duane (Kelly) Vance of Uhrichsville, and Steve Sentz of Gnadenhutten; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and -nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, Ray is also preceded in death by a daughter Radeana Ann Milburn, sister Marlene Sentz, nephew Terry Burdette, and niece Jennifer Milburn.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5, 2026, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Koch Funeral Home of Gnadenhutten, 244 N. Walnut Street. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Terry Wilcox officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens, Dover. Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave SW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital and Ohio’s Hospice.
