David "Frank" Williams, age 55, of New Philadelphia, Ohio passed away late Tuesday night, June 25, 2013, in Akron General Hospital, Akron, Ohio from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Thursday, June 20, 2013.
Frank was born in Pensacola, Florida on June 28, 1957 to Shink and Nancy Kohl Williams who live in New Philadelphia, Ohio. He graduated from North Canton Hoover High School in 1975.
He was a life member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 18 and worked as a crane operator on construction sites around the area for over thirty years. Frank raced dirt bikes for a couple years and was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast. He enjoyed working on his cars, his motorcycles, and his tractor.
In addition to his parents Frank is survived by one daughter: Shannon Williams of Tappan Lake; one sister: Amanda (Brian) Mihalcin of North Canton; two uncles: Mike (Pat) Kohl of New Philadelphia and Clayton (Chris) Williams of Gnadenhutten; and two aunts: Joyce (Phil) Garrett of Columbus and Dolores (Mel) Cox of Gnadenhutten.
Frank was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Homer and Helen Kohl and his paternal grandparents Ruth and Bucky Williams.
Services for Frank will be held at the John Heckewelder Memorial Moravian Church in Gnadenhutten, Ohio on Friday, June 28, 2013 with Rev. Darrell Johnson officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Gnadenhutten-Clay Union Cemetery. Calling hours will be held at the Moravian Church on Thursday, June 27, 2013 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
