Clifford A. Harmon, 94, of Gnadenhutten died on Thursday, August 12, 2021 in Riverside Manor under the care of Community Hospice. Clifford was born in Germano, Ohio on July 15, 1927, to the late Jesse "John" and Mary M. (Burrier) Harmon.

Cliff was a working man all his life. He started working when he was in grade school and had various jobs until he found one that suited him, although working various positions while there, at Gradall Industries where he spent thirty-five years. He retired in 1989 and became interested in woodworking and making crafts. He had other hobbies that included watchmaking, radios, and building the house he and his family lived in.

During the working years, Cliff became a Merchant Marine for the USMS and shortly after joined the United States Army, where he was a clerk for the Colonel in the Korean War. Once returning home from the war, Cliff married Patricia Ann (Huebner) on July 17, 1954, with whom he spent sixty-four years before her death on July 10, 2019. They enjoyed their retirement together spending the winters in Phoenix and Lake Havasu in Arizona.

In his younger years, Cliff was very active within the community. He was a member of the John Heckewelder Memorial Moravian Church, a lifetime member of the V.F.W., one of the original board members of the Dover-Phila Federal Credit Union, and a fifty-year member of the Masonic Lodge.

Surviving are two children: Dave A. (Bonnie) Harmon of Gnadenhutten, and Sue E. (Forrest) Heverly of New Philadelphia, and two grandchildren: Clinton Heverly, and Katie Harmon.

Along with his parents and wife, Cliff is preceded in death by a sister Freda Ager, and two brothers: Harry Harmon and Chester Harmon.

Services for Cliff will be held at Koch Funeral Home of Gnadenhutten on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at 11:30 A.M. with Rev. Denny Rohn officiating. Burial will follow in Gnadenhutten-Clay Union Cemetery. Calling hours will also be on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until time of service.
