Barbara K. Daniels, 76, of Gnadenhutten, died Saturday afternoon October 29, 2016 in her home surrounded by family. She was born on September 3, 1940 to the late Al and Olive (Welch) Williams in Dennison, Ohio. Barb graduated from Gnadenhutten High School in 1958, and then attended and graduated from the Columbus Business School in 1959. She married her husband, John W. "Jack" Daniels in 1960. They were married for 39 years before Jack died in 1999. Barb was an administrative assistant for Indian Valley South and the Indian Valley School system for 32 years.

Barb was a very active member of the John Heckewelder Memorial Moravian Church in Gnadenhutten. She served as an officer, youth advisor, diener, camp cook, candle maker, choir member, circle member, and of course the organist for the church for many years.

Barb also served as an election board member, worked at the local library, and was an active member in the Eastern Star as a past Worthy Matron and organist.

In all of her roles, Barb was affirming, accepting, supportive, and loyal. She will also be remembered for her gentle loving ways, and her kind warming smile.

Surviving Barb are two brothers, Roy A. (Becky) Williams of Gnadenhutten, and Ray A. (Judy) Williams of East Stroudsburg, PA, nieces and nephews Mark (Meeshel) Williams, Heidi Williams (Tommy) Baker, Heather Williams, Connor Williams, and Meredith Williams, great-nephew and nieces Carter, Ashleigh, and Avery Baker.

Calling hours for Barb, held in the John Heckewelder Memorial Moravian Church chapel, will be on Thursday, November 3, from 6 – 9 P.M., an Eastern Star service will be held at 8 PM. Her Funeral Service will be on Friday, November 4, 2016, at 11 A.M. in the Moravian Church sanctuary, with one hour of calling prior to the service. The Rev. Darrell Johnson will officiate. Cremation will follow all of the services and burial will take place at a later date.
