Together Again

            Doris A. Robinson McComb, 80, of Midvale, died early Monday morning of April 3, 2017, from natural causes in Schoenbrunn Healthcare under Hospice care. Doris was born in Gnadenhutten on February 2, 1937 to the late Thomas and E. Mildred (Sanders) Robinson. She attended Gnadenhutten High School and enjoyed roller-skating during that time. Doris was an owner and operator of the Ohio Beverage and Ice Co. in Midvale that delivered ice to various businesses in the area. She was also involved with the operations of the Music Box restaurant in Midvale. Doris was a member of the Hi-Lo Card Club, and the Church of the Nazarene in Uhrichsville. She loved to crochet, travel, and music.

          On May 5, 1955 Doris married the late Donald D. McComb, to whom she was married for 54 years before his passing on December 31, 2009.

          Doris was a mother to Ronald (Teresa) McComb, Jeff (Dena) McComb both of Midvale, and Sandra (James) Donehue of New Philadelphia, grandmother to Nikki (Arron) Wells, Chrissy (Chad) Lynch, Lindsay (Lee) Trushell, John A. Hursey, Alex (Sabrina) Hursey, Eric (Gail) Donehue, Zachary (Heather) Donehue, Joseph (Shannon) Donehue, Diana Gwyer, and Amber Lawless, great-grandmother to many, sister to Charles (Virginia) Robinson, Raymond (Wilma) Robinson both of Gnaden, Vera Paden of Lore City, Joyce Walton and Helen Haga both of Tuscarawas.

          Doris was also preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law Erma and Cliff Renicker.

          Graveside services for Doris will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 11:00 AM, in the Union-Salem Township Cemetery, Port Washington, with Pastor Mike Travis officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice Inc. 716 Commercial Ave SW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
