Virginia Biggs Parrish age 94, of Gnadenhutten, died on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Beacon Pointe Rehab Center following a brief illness. She was born in Alliance, Ohio on October 18, 1919 to the late Oscar Milton Biggs and Gertrude Morrison Biggs Kilchenman.

     Virginia graduated from Gnadenhutten High School in 1937. She worked for Dr. Maurice Williamson at the dentist office in Gnadenhutten for 35 years before retiring in 1989. Virginia was a lifetime member of the Gnadenhutten United Methodist Church and she enjoyed working around her house, taking walks, and quilting.

       
      She married her husband, Robert E. Parrish, on October 29, 1938. They were married for 66 years before Robert passed away on July 3, 2005.         
        
      Virginia is survived by a son, John (Victoria) Parrish of Westerville, a daughter, Karen (Ron) Bradley of Glenford, seven grandchildren: Kimberly (Tracy) Seagle, Ronda (Dan) Baumgardner, Kelly (Jamie) Johnston, Chad (Mechelle) Bradley, Jason (Crystal) Parrish, Corey Parrish, and Kathyrn (Peter) Trippett, and 17 great-grandchildren.
        
      In addition to her parents and husband, Virginia was preceded in death by a brother Edwin Biggs and a sister Clare Jane Kohl.
        
      Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday May 28, 2014 in the Gnadenhutten United Methodist Church, 220 N. Walnut Street, Gnadenhutten with Pastor Seth Filburn officiating. Burial will follow in the Gnadenhutten-Clay Union Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday, May 27 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gnadenhutten United Methodist Church, P.O.
