Trevor B. Richey, 31, of Gnadenhutten, died late Tuesday, April 17, 2018 in Truman House of Community Hospice in New Philadelphia, surrounded by his family.
He was born on March 29, 1987 in Phoenix Arizona. In the early 2000’s he came to Ohio with his family, where he attended Carrolton High School and the culinary arts program at Buckeye Career Center. He was involved with swimming and the R.O.T.C. while attending school. Trevor graduated in 2005. Trevor was employed by Circle K where he worked in customer service. He was formerly employed by Imperial Aluminum in Minerva for two years.
Trevor enjoyed food, and all that had to do with it. Since his illness hindered him from eating, he spent time enjoying videos that were food related. He was also an avid X-Box player, with some of his favorite games being Basketball, Grand Theft Auto, Red Dead Redemption, and Call of Duty.
Surviving are Trevor’s father and step-mother Bryan and Michele Richey of Gnadenhutten, mother Debra Richey of Phoenix, Arizona, sister Nicole Richey of Phoenix, Arizona, brother Tim Richey of Texas, maternal grandfather Kenneth Watts of Minerva, paternal grandmother Patricia Richey of Foley Alabama, a nephew Caleb Richey, aunts and uncles Becky and Dan Dunlap, Bruce Richey, and Jerry and Kim Kleinhenz, and cousins Eric Kleinhenz, Heather Kleinhenz, Brittany Pellerin, and Cye Teach.
Preceding are Trevor’s paternal grandfather Stan Richey, maternal grandmother Sharon Johnson, and a sister who died in childbirth Michelle Richey.
Following Trevor’s wishes, he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at the Fry’s Valley Moravian Church, 594 Fry’s Valley Road, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663 on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Rev. Chris Johnson will officiate the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice.
