“Together Again”

 

            Myrtle E. Patterson Lippencott, 94, of Uhrichsville died on Tuesday night August 2, 2016 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Myrtle was born May 12, 1922 in New Matamoras, Ohio to the late Robert and Laura (Hendershot) Patterson. She moved to the area in the 1940s. Myrtle worked and retired from Tusco Manufacturing after many years. She enjoyed gardening, flea marketing, going to yard sales, camping, and most of all, spending time with her family and her dog Daisy Mae.

            Myrtle married the late Emmett Lippencott on May 29, 1941. He died in January of 1985.

            Myrtle is survived by one daughter, Glenda (Edmond) Crabtree, of the Deersville area, daughter-in-law Betty Lippencott of Gnadenhutten and her family, nineteen grandchildren two of them and their families, Donna (Scott) Moody and Tina (Leroy) Page, being the caretakers of Myrtle, numerous great and great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, six sisters Helen Porter of Palm Bay, Florida, Betty Hasley of Rayland, Ohio, Ruby Puntenney of Westminster, Colorado, Nancy McBeth of Dennison, Ohio, Golda (Jim) Smith of Columbus, Ohio, and Jean Jackson of Euless, Texas, and one brother Delbert Patterson of Dover, Ohio. 

            She is preceded in death by four children, George, Jerry, Mike, and Dollie, step-son Wilbur, seven sisters, Ora Devore, Lula Adams, Geneva Gramham, Violet Damver, Bess Ickes, Audrey Patterson, and Shirley London, and six brothers, Earl, Sam, Willy, Harry, Robert, and William Patterson.

            Services for Myrtle will be Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 2:30 P.M. at the Gnadenhutten United Methodist Church, 220 North Walnut Street, Gnadenhutten, Ohio 44629, with Pastor Florence Fellers McNutt officiating. Burial will follow the service in Gnadenhutten-Clay Union Cemetery. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service from 1:30 to 2:30 P.M. at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Claymont Public Library, 215 East 3rd Street, Uhrichsville, Ohio 44683.
