Merry Ann Reynolds Gadfield, 51, of New Philadelphia died in Union Hospital Tuesday, January 31, 2017. Merry was born in Dover on April 27, 1965 to the late Jasper Reynolds and surviving Linda (Denning) Reynolds of New Philadelphia. Merry attended Indian Valley North High School. She was a homemaker most of her life, enjoying the time she spent with all of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and “adopted” family. She worked as a lunch lady for a short time at the West Elementary School, and was remembered by many of the students from her time there. Merry liked to craft, do plastic canvases, and reading. She also enjoyed all family events and going to listen to her cousin’s band REN.

          Merry was a wife to Robert G. Gadfield, whom she was married to for 33 years. They were married on May 2, 1983. She was mother to April Gadfield (Tim Wren) of New Philadelphia, David Gadfield of Dennison, Grace (Terry) Burkhart of Ragersville, Sonya Gadfield and Cynthia (James) Grove both of Baltic, and Robert F. Gadfield of Pembroke, KY. She was grandmother to sixteen and great-grandmother to 12, sister to Douglas (Shirley) Reynolds of Uhrichsville, Ella Murphy (Jim Maurer), Nancy (Mike) Sizemore, and Bonnie Ash of New Philadelphia, and Albert Reynolds of Barnhill. She was sister-in-law to Ronald Gadfield of Gnadenhutten, Ricky (Kathy) Gadfield of Kidron, and Jane (Thomas) Miller of Gnadenhutten.

          Merry was preceded in death by her father, grandmother June Denning “GG”, and her mother and father-in-law Grace and Robert M. Gadfield.

          Services for Merry will be on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 1:00 PM, held at the Full Gospel Pentecostal Church, 7550 Wolfe’s Crossing Road SE, Gnadenhutten, Ohio 44629 with Pastor Sandy Mann officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at the Gnadenhutten-Clay Union Cemetery.
