Marjorie L. (Gordon) Gowins, 93, of Lake Milton, Ohio, died late Sunday night, July 5, 2015, in Longmeadow Care Center in Ravenna. Marjorie was born on March 8, 1922 in Gorham, Illinois to the late Chester and Myrtle (Woolsey) Gordon. She married John F. Gowins on May 3, 1947. The two were married for 65 years before John died on October 6, 2012. Marjorie was part of the U.S. Marine Corps for two years during World War II. She enjoyed knitting and playing the organ.

            Surviving is daughter Pamela (John) DeHaven, of Lake Milton, Ohio, son John (Lora) Gowins, of Versailles, Kentucky, four grandchildren: Brett (Larry) DeHaven-Harpster, Eric (Kat) Welch, Ryan, and Rachel Gowins; two step-grandchildren: Caitlin and Kendall Combs.

            Marjorie is preceded in death by her parents and husband.

            Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, July 10, 2015 at the Gnadenhutten United Methodist Church, with Pastor Seth Filburn officiating. Entombment will occur in Frankfort, KY on a later date. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the funeral service on Friday.
