Joann and Charlie walking hand and hand again.
To all family and friends: Joann Miller (89) of Gnadenhutten peacefully passed on to heaven early on the morning of March 11, 2017 and is at rest.
Joann was born on Jan. 21, 1928, to Armine and Ada Ashleman in Dennison, Ohio, who preceded her in death.
Joann was the helpmate of Charles B Miller for 60 years before his passing in 2008. They had one son, Chuck E. Miller (wife, Sigrid) who survives. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren and their spouses, 12 great grandchildren and a sister, Shirley Simmons of Bolivar, Oh and Shirley’s family.
There will be no public calling hours. Internment will take place at the Gnadenhutten Clay Union Cemetery on Wednesday, March 15 at 2pm. Officiant will be The Rev. Gordon Furbay. This service is open to all friends and family who would wish to pay their respects and say goodbye.
Because Joann loved Christmas so much, a special Christmas remembrance gathering is being planned for a date in December in her honor. The time and date will be published in the Times Reporter closer to that date. All friends and family will celebrate her life at the time of year that she loved best.
Important thanks to special friends, Jayne, Suzie, and Joe, who gave much love, friendship and support over many years.
