Clyde D. Everett age 75 of Uhrichsville went home to be with the Lord Sunday morning, October 25, 2015, at Community Hospice House, New Philadelphia, after an extended illness. Clyde was born on January 25, 1940 in Gnadenhutten, Ohio; a son of the late Clark E. Everett and Wilma G. (Miller) Everett.

            Clyde graduated from Tuscarawas Warwick High School in 1957 and from Muskingum College in 1962 with a B.S. in Elementary Education. He was an elementary teacher for many years at several different schools. Clyde was a member of Preach the Word Ministries in New Philadelphia and a member of the American Rose Society where he was a Consulting Rosarian, and a Rose Judge. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, tending to his apple and pear orchards, and raising chickens. Clyde also enjoyed spending time with his family and he loved them all very much.

            Surviving is his wife of 51 years, Judith D. (Wilhelm) Everett, whom he married on July 3, 1964. Also surviving is a son Jeremy (Staci) Everett of Uhrichsville; four grandchildren: Daniel Everett, Brock Everett, Christina Everett, and Kathryn Everett; five siblings: Dale Everett, Shelba Jean (Jack) Lambert, Wilbur Everett, David (Brenda) Everett, and Wendell (Sandy) Everett, numerous nieces and nephews and his loving pet Rufus.

            Clyde was also preceded in death by a brother Glenn Everett and two sisters-in-law, Linda Everett and Catherine Everett.

            Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 29, 2015 at the Preach the Word Ministries, Beaver Ave NE, New Philadelphia with Pastor Lisa Meese officiating. Burial will follow in Fry’s Valley Cemetery. Calling hours, also held at Preach the Word Ministries, will be on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 4 to 7 PM.
